The Unmanned Spill Response Vessel - Barrier Boom system (USRV-B) is deployed from heavy transport aircraft such as the Lockheed Martin C-130 at coastal regions threatened by oil spill impact.

Once deployed from the aircraft the USRV-B follows a pre-determined path deploying barrier boom with mooring systems at intervals so that position is maintained for the duration of the deployment.

Multiple barrier boom layers may be used as necessary.

When deployment is complete the USRV-B module maintain position with the boom and transmits data and images to the response response center to aid in monitoring and coordination.
